1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for, accessing, or using Carenova, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Description of Service

Carenova operates a care marketplace pilot that helps care seekers discover caregivers and request care sessions. The Service supports care seeker and caregiver accounts, guest marketplace browsing, caregiver marketplace profiles, care session booking, reviews after completed bookings, Patient CareCard features, and dependent or care recipient profiles. Carenova facilitates connections and booking workflows but is not a party to service agreements between users.

3. User Accounts and Roles

Certain features require an account with email and password authentication. Users may register as care seekers or caregivers. You may browse the marketplace as a guest without creating an account, but booking and account-specific features require registration.

You agree to:

• provide accurate, current, and complete information;
• maintain the security of your credentials;
• accept responsibility for activity under your account;
• notify us promptly of unauthorized access;
• be at least 18 years old to create an account.

4. Identity Verification

To help protect users, Carenova requires government ID upload before care seekers can book care sessions and before caregivers can complete provider review. Caregivers may optionally upload professional credentials for Carenova review.

Verification documents are stored privately and reviewed through Carenova review. A profile may show statuses such as "Verified by Carenova," "Verification in progress," or "Documents submitted for review." Carenova does not represent that users are government verified, officially verified, background checked, licensed by Carenova, or guaranteed safe.

5. Caregiver Profiles

Caregivers may create marketplace profiles with information they choose to publish for discovery, such as services offered, experience, availability, and rates. Carenova may approve, reject, suspend, or remove profiles as part of review and safety processes.

6. Bookings and Private Details

Care seekers may request care sessions through the Service. Bookings may include private details such as service address, service phone, access notes, and a safe care recipient display name snapshot when a dependent is selected.

• Private booking details are visible to the care seeker who owns the booking.
• An assigned caregiver can see private booking details only after a booking reaches an accepted or completed state.
• Maps, Call, and Copy actions use saved booking details and are handed off to third-party applications on your device operating system.
• Full dependent medical or care notes are not shared with caregivers.

Carenova does not guarantee that any booking will be accepted, completed, or meet your expectations. Users are responsible for their own decisions when selecting caregivers and arranging care.

7. Patient CareCard

The Patient CareCard lets account holders store private health and care information for care coordination. The CareCard is not a medical record, not a substitute for professional medical advice, and not an emergency service. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter and for seeking appropriate medical care when needed.

8. Dependents and Care Recipients

You may create dependent or care recipient profiles in the app. You represent that you have the legal authority to request care for each person you add and that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge. For dependent bookings, only a safe recipient display name is snapshotted into private booking details shared under the booking visibility rules above.

9. Reviews and Moderation

Users may submit reviews after completed bookings. Reviews must be honest and respectful. Carenova may remove, hide, or moderate reviews that violate these Terms, are misleading, abusive, or otherwise inappropriate.

10. Payments

The current pilot does not include in-app payment processing. Any fees, payments, cancellations, or disputes regarding care services are handled directly between users unless we announce integrated payment features in a future update.

11. Location and Tracking

The current Carenova app does not request device GPS or location permission and does not provide live tracking or background location features.

12. Prohibited Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• violate applicable laws or regulations;
• provide false identity, credential, or profile information;
• impersonate another person or entity;
• harass, abuse, exploit, or endanger others;
• upload malware or attempt unauthorized access;
• scrape, copy, or misuse marketplace data without permission;
• use the Service for emergency medical response.

13. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and branding are owned by Carenova and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

14. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Carenova does not warrant uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation. We do not guarantee the conduct, qualifications, availability, or quality of any user or care service. Carenova is not a healthcare provider, employer of caregivers, or emergency service. In a medical emergency, contact local emergency services immediately.

15. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CARENOVA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability shall not exceed the greater of amounts you paid to Carenova, if any, for use of the Service during the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100).

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Carenova and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from claims, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the Service, your content, your care arrangements, or your violation of these Terms.

17. Account Deletion and Termination

You may request account deletion from Profile in the app. Requests are processed manually. We may suspend or terminate access immediately for breach of these Terms, risk to users, legal requirements, or other legitimate reasons. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately, subject to any lawful retention described in our Privacy Policy.

18. Modifications to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will post updated Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

19. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes arising from these Terms or the Service are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lebanon.

20. Severability

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

21. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Carenova regarding the Service.
